IIoT Edge Platform Updated for Increased Integration

San Jose, Calif.-based Litmus Automation this week announced an update to its flagship release LoopEdge, which it calls "the first edge computing platform for industrial IoT [IIoT]."

According to the company, new features added to the platform with this latest version include:

  • Native integration capabilities for a variety of Internet of things (IoT) platforms, including IBM Watson IoT, Azure IoT, AWS IoT and SAP Leonardo.
  • More than 100 new DevicehHub drivers for connecting to various robotics systems and industrial systems, PCLs and CNC machines.
  • APIs for OEM partners to build custom solutions.
  • Various security improvements.

"The latest updates to LoopEdge make it the most advanced edge computing platform on the market," commented Vatsal Shah, co-founder and CEO of Litmus, in a press release announcing the update. "Our products have already been deployed in large-scale production by some of the largest Fortune 500 manufacturing companies and industrial OEMs. LoopEdge has been recognized by analysts and customers alike as a quick and easy platform to connect to varied assets at the Edge for a successful IoT deployment."
